Wristbands for festivals and resort events

An event inside a resort is a temporary property with its own gates, its own bars and a population that has to be told apart from the guests who were already there. It runs to a fixed date that cannot move, which changes how everything is ordered.

Festivals and one-off events

The deadline changes the whole procurement

A resort can reorder guest bands next month. An event cannot. That makes lead time the governing constraint rather than unit price, and it makes the artwork approval date the single most important line in the schedule. The practical mitigation is to separate the two: order undated stock in the event colours early, and put anything date-specific on a printed insert or a lanyard that can be produced locally in days.

The fence line is where bands are lost

Event access control fails at the perimeter, not the entrance. A band comes off inside and goes over a barrier. A one-time closure that visibly destroys the band on removal makes that worthless, and it matters far more than what is inside the band. For multi-day events a sealed woven lock is both more secure than adhesive and considerably more comfortable by the third day, which is when guests start cutting uncomfortable bands off themselves.

Two populations on one property

While an event runs, the resort still has holiday guests using the same pools and bars. If the event band is not instantly distinguishable from the resort's own range, staff will charge drinks to folios that do not exist. Reserving one colour permanently for events — never used for a guest tier — solves this once rather than at every booking.

Cashless bars need an exit plan

Event bars run on pre-loaded balances more often than folios, because most attendees have no folio. That creates an end-of-event question that must be answered before tickets go on sale: is unspent balance refunded, donated or forfeited? All three are defensible and only one of them can be decided afterwards without complaints. Print it on the ticket.

What to tell us before we quote

  • The immovable date, and the artwork approval date implied by it
  • Expected attendance and gate throughput at peak
  • Whether the event runs one day or several
  • The reserved event colour, distinct from resort guest bands
  • Cashless model, and the rule for unspent balance

500 bands per artwork, mixed colours counted as one run.

Compatibility is subject to confirmation of your lock system, credential technology and encoding requirements.

Usually specified

Bands that suit this sector.

The security requirement dominates. A one-time closure that cannot be reopened without visible damage is the baseline; sequential numbering against tickets sold is the reconciliation. For multi-day events a woven band with a sealed clip is more secure than an adhesive closure and considerably more comfortable on day three.
