Wristbands for boutique and small properties

A forty-room property has the same guest expectations as a four-hundred-room one and none of the volume. The two questions that decide everything are how to make a minimum run last, and how to avoid a band that makes an expensive room feel like a water park.

What 500 bands actually covers

At forty rooms and two guests a room, a 500-band run is roughly six full turnovers — a season for a property with long stays, several months for a city hotel. That is usually a single annual order rather than a recurring one, and it is why the design must be undated and season-neutral. A band printed with a year is a band you throw away in January with most of the run still in the box.

Mixed colours count as one run

The minimum applies per artwork, not per colour, so a small property can take a single design across three or four colours within one 500-band run. That is enough to separate a spa entitlement from a standard stay without ordering three separate runs, and it is the most useful thing a small buyer can know about the minimum. What it cannot do is carry three different logos: that is three artworks and three minimums.

The band is a brand object here

At scale a wristband is operational equipment. At forty rooms it is one of maybe six physical objects a guest handles all week, alongside the key, the menu and the toiletries. That changes the material decision entirely — wood, cork and beaded constructions cost more per unit and are the correct answer far more often at this size, because the volume is low enough that the difference is a rounding error against a room rate.

No procurement department is an advantage

One person deciding means the specification conversation is short and the compatibility question gets answered honestly, because the person who knows the lock system is in the room. The risk is the opposite one: a decision made from a photograph without a physical sample. Samples matter more at this size, not less, because there is no second order to correct a mistake with.

What to tell us before we quote

  • Room count and typical occupancy, to size the run
  • How many colours you need within one artwork
  • Whether the band must open rooms, or only zones
  • The look you are matching — send a photograph of the room
  • Whether guests are expected to keep the band

500 bands per artwork, mixed colours counted as one run.

Compatibility is subject to confirmation of your lock system, credential technology and encoding requirements.
