Wristbands for hotel pool and spa zones

A city or resort hotel with a spa runs a small, high-margin operation inside a larger one, with its own doors, its own lockers and guests who are wearing a robe and nothing else. The wristband is often the only thing they are carrying, which makes it both the credential and the single point of failure.

Hotel pool and spa zones

Metal-free is a safety specification here

A metal clasp or crimp in a sauna reaches burn temperature against skin well before the air feels uncomfortable, and the guest is not thinking about their wrist. Every band we supply for a thermal circuit is metal-free throughout, closure included. It also helps the read — metal adjacent to an antenna detunes it — but the reason is the burn. It is the first thing to check on any sample from any supplier.

Oils attack bands faster than water does

Treatment oils and heavy creams penetrate printed surfaces and adhesive bonds far more aggressively than pool water. A screen-printed band in daily spa service degrades noticeably faster than the same band at a pool. Debossed silicone, sealed wood and cork all resist it because there is no applied layer to attack, which is the strongest practical argument for natural-material bands in a spa — ahead of the aesthetic one they are usually chosen for.

Access follows the booking, not the room

Spa entitlement is sold per booking, per person and sometimes per day, and it rarely maps to the room. Two guests in one room can have different entitlements; a day-spa visitor has no room at all. That means the band identifies a person against a booking record rather than acting as a room key with extra rights. Properties that model spa access as a room attribute end up with a member of staff at the door making judgement calls.

The band is the locker key, and losing it is serious

A guest who loses a pool band is inconvenienced. A guest who loses a spa band cannot get to their clothes. That raises the standard for the closure — a slider or elastic loosens in a wet changing room, a lock or a well-set knot does not — and it makes a staffed locker override with a written record a requirement rather than a nice-to-have.

What to tell us before we quote

  • Maximum temperature in the thermal circuit, including hammam
  • Whether the band opens lockers as well as doors
  • How day-spa visitors without a room are issued and identified
  • Treatment oils and cleaning agents in routine use
  • Whether the band is returned at the end of each visit

500 bands per artwork, mixed colours counted as one run.

Compatibility is subject to confirmation of your lock system, credential technology and encoding requirements.

Usually specified

Bands that suit this sector.

A guest with spa access included should not need a second card, and a guest without it should not need a conversation at the door. Where the property’s system supports zone rules, the band can be encoded to respect them. That is a capability of your access control rather than of the band — we confirm what your system can do before quoting, and specify the transponder to match.
